hey peeps, how easy is it to get a pair of C&B cams there in the UK? it's pretty hard to get here, as we got to order.
are there used ones for Bravo? i am looking for a pair for my 1.8GT though, hope you guys can assist me. any other
internal upgrades for our car, other than 4-2-1 header and port and polish? how about hardened valve springs and retainers?

Daz, the turbo only gives you 10BHP more than what Yogis has got from his 1.8!

I'd be careful about a port job, a cheap one will more than likely result in lost BHP. Expect to pay several hundred quid for a good job.

You WILL need a piggyback ECU with the cams, budget another 5-600 quid for the piggyback and alot of rolling road time. Its worth another 20-25BHP. Cams on their own gain you about 10-15 on the 1.8.

Hardened valve springs... waste of time and money unless you plan to raise the rev limit.. but the biggest limiting factor is the crank/conrods/pistons and oil feed.

what's yogi riding on? C&B camshafts? and what about ECUs? other than piggybacks, any ECU replacements?
and mind telling me, which piggybacks you guys are comfort with and where to get em? thanks in advance peeps.

No ECU replacements.

Yogis has C&B fast road cams, supersprint manifold & exhaust and a K&N. Before the cam his car was dyno'd at 113BHP (thats with the exhaust and K&N). After cams and piggyback its 150ish BHP.

You can't get a programmable replacement ECU. You can for some of the other Bravos but they are not far off £1000.

There are a couple of piggyback makers, best thing would be to find a rolling road near you and see which one they use.

bummer, 150 ponies not that bad after all i'd say. and which piggyback has Yogi got for his Bravo?
we have a Bravo GT here in Malaysia, a friend of mine using the APEXi SAFC and it does its job well i must say.
his Bravo is kinda fast in our group though. but i am sure you guys are much more faster than what we have here hehe.
but how come Yogi's car, after header and exhaust system changed, not forgetting the K&N, dyno still read 113?

Easy, changing the exhaust and filter makes NO difference ;)

I think he has a Dastek. There are a couple of suitable piggybacks for the Bravo.
