Engine Transplant Question

Hi I am currently getting a 2nd hand engine put into my bravo but will i have to re-eduducate the new engine like as if the ECU had been reset i.e. driving correctly and not driving hard when i 1st get it back even though its a 2nd hand engine ???

Presuming you are not having the new engine put in while the battery is connected it will be reset anyway. Leave the car to idle for 5 minutes on startup (which I am sure you will do anyway) and then drive as normal
