engine problem please help

Iv had some major problems with my car lately. Cam belt went and had to fit new exhaust valves, head gasket and timing belt kit but now I have the problem of my engine idling too low and cutting out. It works fine when the car is cold but as soon as it warms up it starts to struggle and when revved the revs drop back down too far and it cuts out!

Any ideas to what it could be?

Sound slike the Idle control valve, or the throttle

Do a compression and a leakdown test.

If it was the idle valve it would have trouble when cold.

iv got a mate wqho knows a bit about cars and he thinks it could be the coolant temp sensor for the ecu making it overfuel?

What du reckon?

Possible, its an easy check.

But my money would be its related to the work done on the engine. Temp sensors don't tend to just randomly drop dead.
