Hi,
My wife had the dreaded engine warning light together with the message about anti pollution control failure today. I thought this only happened to the diesel engines.
Anyway as I wasn't sure if it was more than a computer fault, I called the AA and they said they would send somebody to have a look. As my wife was at her parents for the day they met her there and connected up the computer and reset the fault. They then started the car a few times and it didn't come back, so hopefully it is fixed for now.
She will be driving back later, so it will give it a bit of a test as they live 40 miles away.
If this is a fault which can happen for no apparent reason, I wonder what will happen after the warranty runs out. The Fiat dealers will probably charge just to reset it at £75.00 a time.
I think it will only be with us for another 18 months and we will sell it before the warranty runs out.
Andy
