Hi All, Just looking for a bit of advise, I will be collecting Von's HGT on Saturday next week. I plan to take the engine out myself and either take it to get the dead sensor replaced at a trusted garage or even do the job myself.
I know there is hardly no room in the engine bay but I plan to have the car on axle stands disconnect the drive shafts, pipes, wires to all sensors, exhaust downpipe remove the battery tray and as much as possible have the engine on the crane and then disconnect the mounts go in from the N/S wheel arch and remove what bolts i can from the lower end of the cover to the cam belt
Question is if I then lower the engine at the gearbox side and try to angle it up at the cam belt side and move it what maybe 6" to the n/s if it will go that far? I may need to remove the whole o/s strut and wheel assembly but that's not an issue do you think i can create the space and what would be best to get the pulley off without up setting the timing...
Any advice or pointers would be appreciated
