General engine options for panda

I also think it bolts up, but was told it wouldn´t. I do know it won´t hold the power of the turbo long, mine sure didn´t[}:)].

If you have any questions don´t be afraid, ask away. I´ll be glad to help.

I now have info stating that it´s possible to fit a pre-1990 Uno turbo engine into a panda with just some hood modifications(maybe mounts too). It´s a 1301cc engine(nonfire), this is the same engine we discovered in my panda 55 only mine is non turbo (it has high compression pistons fitted)

Well bad news for me. I have looked around at a few junkyards and everyone said that they dont have Y10 turbo motors. Also, I was told at every junkyard that they are rare and hard to find. I may have to start looking elsewear for a motor. I am glad to hear there is more possibilities for an engine swap. How rare are 1.3 Uno turbos. I may have to just go to the junkers and try all the Fiat/Lancia engines till I find one that works. If I find anything else out I will put it here.

I only know 1 1988 Uno turbo fitted with a 1.3(1299cc/1301cc same as the Y10 gti), i do know they were only briefly available around here. I´m now looking for the 1116cc engine for measurements as i was told it should also fit, anyone else know about this?

The Y10 turbo was 1049 CC, the non turbo GTi.e. was 1301CC.

The most widely available bolt in option is the Cinq Sporting engine(or find a carbed Uno Version - even easier)

It's the 1108CC engine, as used in the automatic. Will use the same clutch and gear box, only downside is it's not a lot of horsepower extra.

Fix It Again Tony!
Would swap for X19, Montecarlo Spider or GT.i.e in average/poor condition! Scottish based would be nice.

I´m basically looking at all the options;). I´m trying to cram(fit is not the word) a 1242cc 16V MPI engine off a punto into a Panda, that´s my definition of a hard swap and makes anything else look easy:D
