Hi All,

I thought it had been too long  EDIT: before you start get need new nyloc nuts!

The bolt which goes through the front engine mount snapped. Lack of WD40 I think is the cause :bang: I have fitted a temporary bolt till I find a suitable replacement. I won’t be driving her till a proper one is fitted :(

I didn’t bother photographing before I started. Since the lower bits fell out, I’m not sure of the order to refit  .

:chin: When I do refit, should there be some play when fully tightened? Before I removed it the lower bump stop was free to shake around – and at idol, sounded like a bell ringing till I damped it with some electrical tape.

This is the old front engine mount (from underneath) :-

 Might anyone know it the not and bolt is a FIAT only part? I will prob. miss Brooklands  my local FIAT garage are too slow :bang:

Regards All,

louie... ive can take a full set of engine mounts off my uno if ur interested.
Cheers Bushboy! I have all 3 engine mounts brand new - I’m only after the bolt(s).

My setpdad tells me the bolt is a Nyloc type with a shoulder – so should really be renewed with exactly the same part, which Shop 4 Parts don’t carry. I will try the guys in Diss next. There is a good chance they will have one in, and I can fit Friday. I will prob. also have a walk around the local garaged to see if they have one in stock. The FIAT part number will be useful for ordering!

blag a lift to brooklands with gaz
Hmm I wonder if Gaz is up for staying Saturday Night in Brixton and herring us DJ some nasty Drum N Bass – Else I’d be stranded in London?

I was planning on calling in on Uno Bianca In Kent after that so I really need to be on the road.

Regards All,

Re: Engine Mounts/Miss Brooklands?

LOL my temp one is 1” too short, and is only just holding with no washer.

I got it from a general hardware store for 50p, as my car was blocking the drive as front end now too low to jack else where

:) Would be really good if you could post it just in case.

Re: Engine Mounts/Miss Brooklands?

:p Belated up date.

I went to my local FIAT dealer this morning – they said they can get the part in for Tomorrow :)

If not, I’ve been recommended an engineering firm in Stretford for a tempered steal bolt.

 foc = 3 of charge? I’d like the sound of that ;)

Cheers for the help Guys!
