Technical Engine mountings?

I have noticed that there is a fair amount of movement with the engine (I have an 08 Grande Punto Active 1.2) ie. you can move it a fair bit from side to side which I am assuming is not right???
There is a gap of about half an inch from the rubber cushion on the mounting and the engine.I have looked a a couple of other Puntos and their engines are "solid"

Usually they change the mount under the gearbox that looks like a tennis tool (racket) ? Changed more than 4 this season You might feel it when shifting gears if that mounting has gone bad!
