use a tachymeter (on load of watches nowadays), so long as your mile is measured correctly it should give you an accurate 'true' speed...and it doesnt cost you anything to find the truth

Speedo

My HGT read exactly 70 and I was nicked at 69.9 - almost all modern speedos are within 2-3% but that is plus OR minus not necessarily always minus. I didn't beleive the speed on my HGT on a timed run and then found out the speed was registering only 0.9mph too much!

However I reckon that 120 is acheivable in a 1.2 given the correct conditions, like those normally found at places like Trondheim, Innsbruck and Oberstorf!

If you look close enough, you can see the smudges just above the 40 pmh mark and the 2000rpm mark.

Give me an art package and I can do a lot of damage!!!

did you fiddle with the fuel gauge as well? coz mine never reads half full, it's always on the E.

Punto Vs Bravo

Guys the punto speed 6's are very quick for what they are. The same engine Bravo would be no where near as quick.

Any one who uses this forum regularly will be bored of reading about me and the punto 6 speed gear box trilogy (Si) but your gonna hear it again any way!.

The Bravo 1.2 uses the same pants very high ratio gearbox as all the other Bravos/Bravas. The puntos use a very low ratio 6 speed gearbox and that is why they are so fast. They are also not as heavy but the low ratios of the gearbox are the key! Oh and before any one asks..... no! the god dam 6 speed box will not fit on to a Bravo. The crank and fly wheel will not marry up.
