Technical Engine management light.

Hi guys, I'm new here and just discovered this forum. Pretty useful I must say.

Anyway, I bought a 02 stilo dynamic a day ago and on the same day the battery failed n needed a jump start. Since then its been fine however I keep getting an engine light on display when the ignition is on. It diasppears off dash when I start the car. But sometimes it comes back on while I'm drivin n then disappears again.

I'm still gettin used to the car n not quite sure what this means. Took it to a local garage n they suggested I get it 'reset' if the light stays on?

Stilos don't like duff batteries you get more
false warning than you can deal with when the batteries
not holding full charge.

Hi, Welcome to the FF.

Stilo engine faults do not need to be reset, once the fault is fixed and the car has been started 3 times, the fault light will extinguish.

As John says above, use the free diagnostic software (or a garage) to check for fault codes, then post any codes so we can help you further.
