Hi guys I'm confused I got a multipla 1.9jtd ugly bug the day before was driving and was welcomed with the engine light car went to limp mode revs wouldn't pick up past 3000rpm I left the car over night started it thismorning and no problem no engine light no fault car is fine and it's not the 1st time it's happened and egr valve is already blanked off so it can't be that mass airflow was cleaned when it 1st happened so I guess it's not that either could it be a crank sensor or somewhere on the turbo

You could try cleaning out the MAP sensor (it's mounted on the back of the cylinder head, single bolt fixing) with some carb/brake cleaner spray and some cotton buds. Also, check the small hoses that connect the turbo actuator (it's mounted on the turbo, with one of the tubes going into its back end), turbo solenoid valve (on the other end of the same tube, mounted left/below the battery) and the vacuum take off point on the inlet manifold.

What did you use to blank off the EGR? It's not unknown for thinner bits of metal used to blank it to have holes burnt in them over time.

also worth getting a cheap code reader - or downloading MULTIECUSCAN;)

as then you'll have a good starting point (y)
