I'm wondering if you have an air leak into the suction pipe on the fuel pump? (Between tank and pump).

I want to test the fuel pressure In the car as new pump on there and need to know if it is at working psi not faulty
 
But then saying that car pulls very quick with no hesitation from cold or hot no difference apart from throwing eml and leaving black soot around tailpipe but no black smoke I might change crankshaft sensor again and clean injectors too
 
I know my mate who is a mechanic he used grinding paste On the valves by spinning them on a drill on the head and have put new oil seals on them to will have to replace head gasket if I check valves again was debating in getting a better head gasket. Then the cheap after market ones I know I didn't have this problem before the head was done because I thought it was head but it was fuel pump perphaps they are not seated properly when I checked piston bores there were no damage or wear to walls
 
I will do another test on compression with engine warm wet and dry and see first time I did one I did it when it was cold will get back to you the results
 
I have the same problem in my 1.6 cabrio after a cylinder head rebuild.
Changed the fuel pressure regulator, cleaned the EGR valve and Idle sensor.
Injector light is always on. even when I start the car.

When I put new fuel today, it turned off for a few seconds then came back when I started driving.
 
But the problem is you can't get the codes from the ecu it doesn't connect and display codes where did you get your fuel regulator from is it like mine I have looked everywhere and had no luck attached under the fuel rail ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1400958295.838753.jpg

I did compression test again and 3 cylinders are measuring 85 -90 psi 1st cylinder measuring 115 I'm just thinking maybe a valve causing problem not hardly any difference wet or dry car seems to run better when throttle body vacuum is removed but still throws light when run for 10 mins or 2000rpm for 10 seconds
 
If you still got problems egr valves are £200 on ebayvut you can buy a vauxhall egr same one for £20 new just to let you know
 
Ches did you get head skimmed when you did gasket just curious because I had mine skimmed .8 fal
 
I don't have any problems actually. car runs smooth.
Just that annoying light in the dash.

Yeah I got my cylinder head completely re-con, filled and skimmed.
You can find that fuel pressure regulator from any '90s american car with GM engine.
I got mine from '96 chevrolet cavalier. it's the same part:

My problem is that the injector light is always on. not after 10 min or so.

As We've said before, you need to find a FIAT dealer who still has the kit to do it. MES and ECU Scan 2 can't do it and the poor old thing isn't OBD2 compliant.

Would point to valves, yes. Or a HG gone across 3 cylinders.
 
I will look into it fingers I was thinking when head was skimmed I had valves re seated maybe the valve shaft is slightly to long for the valves to shut properly will check and probably have to have shafts trimmed slightly
 
Will look into it to see if it is shims if it is it would be better I will keep that in mind fingers ?
