Engine Help

Just been driving to my sisters, Went to overtake an old dear doing 25 in a 60 - bless her. dropped it down from 4th into 3rd and straight away as i dipped the clutch the engine cut out, all the usual warning lights came on then when i engaged gear (bumped) they all went off except for the key code light.

This is the second time this week it's done this to me 1st time it was raining heavily and i'd just gone through a huge puddle so thought it could be damp in the system?

Given it a good dozing of WD40 but that seames to have had no effect,
Also noticed car idles a little rough and is seriously taking it's time to accelerate

WD40 is not a water dispersant, it can actually make it worse.

Sounds like your car just needs to dry out a bit

I always though WD40 drove the water outta the electrics, it'll get a nice run to cambridge and back this weekend so hopefully that'll help
