Technical engine change

[Fiat Silo 1.4 16v 3 Door]

Hey

I have a stilo 3 door 05 1.4

My friend works in a scrapy and offered me an arbarth engine

So im thinking of putting it in my 1.4 as im having some bad gear box trouble

Anyone got any idea if it will even fit ? And what eles i need e.g wiring loom, drive shaft, brakes, engine mounts ??

Or am i just dreaming lol

Body computer as well mate,

Engine, loom, body computer, ecu, gearbox, driveshafts, hubs. brakes. front suspension/stuts/arms etc etc

my advice buy the whole car from the scrappy and change Everything over

You are getting yourself into a massive job, very time consuming to transfer an engine especialy a different size one not to mention all the electrical differences between the two my advice is sell your 1.4 and buy an abarth

:yeahthat: unless you can do all the work yourself, then i wouldnt bother. The 2.4 engine isnt known to be the most reliable engine Fiat have ever made anyway....

That's the easy answer

Find an Abarth owner looking for something a lot more economical and just do a straight swap
