Tuning engine bay

Today I was in the process of making my own induction kit and when I unscrewed the top cover of the engine were the standard air pipe goes, 2 other hoses were connected! So my question it what are these hoses and where do I connect them to once I have my induction kit fitted?

It's the two breather hoses. One small and fat one long and thin?

Don't know where they'd go upon removal of the airbox though.

You need to connect them back into the induction system if you try to fit a breather filter you will get fumes drawn into the car a kit made to fit the gp shouldnhave connections

And its an MOT failure if they dont recirc into the induction.
