you will struggle at the minute to find a job, people are letting go and not employing due to the current financial climate.

i know

True, but there will be companies that will be taking on!.... just keep trying... one thing I would do, do a CV and just post it to all the companies you would like to work for

they are round by me as they are refurbing the entire town so new asda etc

Absolutely anywhere.

Remember dyspraxia isnt an excuse.

i know but ive already had some employers read my cv and as you could see them thinking this looks good then they see dyspraxic and tell you sorry your not what were looking for or sorry we dont have any vaccansies usual bull **** you get when someone doesnt know what something is and cant be bothered to find out.

Its sad really that people think that if they have a problem the world will be against them... which in my eyes it aint true.... I find that people that have problems work harder than the ones that don't!

All depends on their perspective, I know people with small issues making big deals of them or just too lazy to try and others going really far with what can only be perceived as a severe issue; theres something for everyone you just have to be prepared to look for weeks on end!

I wasnt having a dig at the guy lee, was just saying..... Being dyspraxic shouldnt stop a 17 year old getting a job anywhere, hell it didnt even stop me joining the air force.

Its simple really, if you feel they will not employ you because of dyspraxia, dont tell them.

Although i told all my employers and never had aproblem. If you pin it on your learning difficulties you may not realise that there are actually very different reasons they wont employ you...

No offence mate but ive seen some of the poor buggers that work in supermarkets nowadays, and trust me dyspraxia is nothing compared to them guys. And they WILL know what it is. If you are going to tell them you are dyspraxic, and you look like a bag of ****, bob marley morning hair, then they will tell you where to go.

But you could try telling them the positive side of dyspraxia if you dont feel they know what it is.

I didn't get a job in 3 months this year (tried all summer for a part time summer job and a weekend job) whereas the last 2 years got one within a week on an agency, but the factory has shut and moved; ever since the agency don't seem bothered (n)
