Technical emission box

Can anyone tell me the right term for the emission box, the 'filter' for the gas vapor.

I'm sure there is a lot written in the search section, but i cant find it as i dont know the right name, as English is not my first language.

I removed the box itself,
I kept the valve from the box, its still connected to the ECU
Also I still have the hose from the throttle to the valve, but the valve on the other side goes free in the air. Is that wrong?

The essence from all of it is the punto engine is in a fiat uno without the 3th hose to the feultank.

without reading the link above, which prob has the answer anyway..

its called the 'charcoal cannister', one pipe goes to the throttle body, the other pipe should go back to the fuel tank.
