Technical electrics gone a bit disco...

I have a few confusing problems with a 1999t 2.0 marea... the all seem to be electrics related and are a bit disturbing...

instrument panel - dials work most of the time, but die out from time to time - worst affected is the rev counter...
front drivers side indicator seems to work when it fancies, but not all of the time...

I'm motd until march and am getting worried its something gone wrong with the ecu (which would be bad as i have no red key...)

any ideas?

front indicator should be due to a bad connection on the wiring connector on the light unit, wd40 will fix that, or a bad connection on the bulb itself, have a look to see if its loose and squirt wd40 into the bulb holder.

the instrument panel fault is very common and nothing to do with the ecu. it is usually due to either an internal fault in the panel or due to badly connected wiring plugs on the back of the panel. a good thump on the dash above the panel usually fixes it temporarily.

jugs got it in one but if you want i dont mind taking a look if you get problems.
