Electrical problem

Hi I have an electrical problem.
My Drivers side side lights switch on the almost immediately off again this also happens witht the rear drivers side cluster, however my main beam work and indicators and brake lights. The bulbs and fuses are fine? I think it may be a relay or crossed wire fault? but am unsure as how to test for this? I have check all the wiring and it seems ok.
Does anybody know how to identify what relay is for what and how to go about testing them to eliminate or identify the problem?

i also have a power issue when i sometimes change from higher gear to lower and try to move off, it seems as if I am in ahigher gear or that the breaks are on, the power will not pick up until about 2500rpm! This is getting more and more frequent!

Engine ?

1. the relay for the lights one of them under the panel right of the steering wheel.
2. can be lambda sensor or maf depending what engine you have
