Hi Guys,
I could really do with a hand in understanding how the electric window switches work in an 06 GP (3dr).
Basically my passenger window will only go down and not back up again. Now I've had the passenger switch all apart and from what I can see there are 6 connections:
- ground and live for the led light
- ground and live running from the battery to the switch
- two wires from the switch to the motor.
From my understanding the switch alternates the direction of the current running from the switch to the motor. I presumed originally that it must just be a faulty switch, so purchased a new one, however I'm still having the issue.
Also if someone would be able to give me an explanation into how the driver's side switch comes into the equation that would also be great, as I have no idea how that comes into the circuit.
Any suggestions and information would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Will
