Technical Electric Steering Column

Hi,

I´m about change my steering column, because it makes horrific noise when turning left.
I have guestions about the upper column (see picture)
What is the purpose of these wings?
Where do they go?

1. If you want to do such job DIY, do the homework first, study the internet (there are YT videos, steering column replacement etc.).
Example: YouTube video (timestamp 10:30), shows where that "wings" go. They must fit somewhere (two slots/pockets/sockets/gaps).

2. Document your work, disassembly stage, so you will know where the parts go.

3. This particular feature is the most irrelevant part of the procedure. These are just some mechanical parts that align/position/lock the mechanism.
Nothing to write home about (or ask on the forum!).
