I had the wee amber exclamation mark warning light come up so I plugged in a scan tool ( just a cheapo one from eurocar parts, it was the first time ive used it), it tried to scan then the display went kind of dull and it seemed to stop working.
Now the cars as dead as a dodo. Doesn't seem to have any electric power at all.
I've checked all the blade fuses in the glove box and engine bay box's and they're all good.
Any ideas folks? I was wondering if its some kind of immobiliser 🤔

Confirm battery voltage 1st, both battery terminals tightness, and earth strap general condition and both ends for good clean clamping. (remove and remake both ends to ensure they're nice and snug)

Thanks, yeah looks like it might have been the obvious after all.
Battery voltage was on the floor, I'd thought no way was it that and it was something to do with the scan tool.
But I'm now thinking I'd had it parked up for a couple of days without running it so that's probably when the Battery has drained. I knew the blue and me unit was probably gone as I've had the flashing milage readout for a week. Im guessing that might have lead to the power drain.

Got the Battery charging now, so I'll report back once I get it back in.

Cheers.

The battery on a 2013 vehicle (if it's original) is probably fubared anyway....

Take a look round the battery casing for a date code (usually 4 digit)
