Technical elec heated leather seats retrofit

can electric heated leather seats be retrofitted into a car without elec seats? or is there no pre wiring there? or is the wiring all in the seat unit itself?

I have them in my car. Tell me what connectors you have under the seat and I will tell you if mine is different.

assuming seats are not powered (electrical) - they are identical as far as airbags and connectors are concerned. Your car is unlikely to be prewired but you can always tap from lighter socket - where there is a will there is a way.. Now concerning electric seats.. these have a different airbag setup and i am not aware of someone retrofitting these - might work if airbag modules are same type/number but i think wiring would be different.. also electric seats should be smart nodes (and that's a whole different story.. delay switches and so on.. unless you just wish to power them on with a tap and hope that they work)

so in other words its a massive project?

its just im looking to get another abarth im gonna have about 2800-3000 and looking for a 3rd but ideally with leather electric / heated seats. but a lot im seeing are either cloth or manual leather. i did see a set of electric seats for sale so wondered if it would be easy to swap
