Technical EGR Valve

Hey all,
The engine light came on in my 1.9 Multijet the other day. I had it diagnosed and one of the problems is the EGR valve. Does anyone know where this is located?

looky here its pretty much identical to the GP one
take of the engine cover and its on the back right corner of the engine
if you clean it or fit a new one i reccomend fitting the moddified swirl gasket
part no. 71751469 is the swirl gasket in centre of picture, 12 quid (ish)
you'll also need two 46773082 (£1.80) for either side of the swirl gasket

just found mine is also on the blink, could you tell me what the added bonus of a swirl gasket is? will it stop carbon build ups or improove power? my old gasket is fine and was planning on putting it back until i saw this.

it helps the flow of gas making the valve work more efficently

or you could just block it up. At no cost.

Not reccomended in the long run, will cause more harm than you think.
