Hope you guys don't mind, but I have a Vectra (with the same 150 CDTi engine as some of you guys) - I have bought a new EGR valve as my current one is sticking and giving me some issues, I am wanting the modified gaskets too to make sure it stays clean for as long as possible. I have bought these as pictured....

Should I be buying the semi-blanking gasket for the smaller side too, like these....

.... or do I only need to fit the modified gasket to one side..??

Any help would be much appreciated :worship:

Fiat only fit the modified gasket on one side of the EGR valve, however I think the modfication was only intended for the 80 and 115bhp JTD engines.

and also the 120 and 130 multijet infact pretty much any diesel with the same egr, even if not specifiically designed it will not do it any harm.

EDIT: the 150 16v egr is a different design to the rest of the 8v engine models, so you will need a different part number anyway.
but the principle of it is the same

had mine off and that gasket looks like it should fit only on the incoming flange the outgoing is a larger square gasket, but ive seen a modified gasket for an alfa jtd that looked like the square gasket with 4 holes in it not sure if its official or home made?
if i can find il link to it.
ive just bought a new egr so i can fit new and clean old for next year, its supposidly the newer modified one but visually looks the same not sure whats changed maybe just a better seal between valve body and solenoid?
