Egg damage

So the kids in the neighbouring village thought it was a laugh chucking eggs at cars last night, and mine got blasted. anyhow, long story short, in the daylight noticed one of the eggs on shattering has chipped and marked the paint, any ideas before going to the body shop and having my already empty wallet relieved of more money that's not in there.

Had exactly the same thing on my barchetta, these paint chips are not on the surface.. i tried everything, but nothing did it...

That will require spraying. Eggs are one of the worse things to get on your paintwork.

Could try wet sanding first though, can't make it any worse!

it's not the egg white that's done this it's the shell impact. guess it's out up with or shell out (no pun intended!) for a spray up

I'm starting to sound like a sales man for these people, but try ChipEx once you have cleaned up the egg. It sorted my 500 perfectly.

Got that on the Stilo, and the Classic Panda I had

Had two eggs hit my Idea on the front wing. The shells left a circular imprint, more or less cutting through the paint necessitating a fairly expensive repair.
It happened between Boxted and Stratford St Mary. Tried, but failed, to catch the little b'stds. Informed the police, as it had been happening on the A12 as well.
