Hi all :)
Im getting a bit trouble trying to connect the OBD2 with the ELM327 unit - the Fiat's ecu won't connect or recognize it. (some lights goes on with the ELM when im pressing the connect button)
i did a test in the Multiecuscan and it went all good - it shows that the ELM is working and ready, but when i connect it to the OBD port on the 500 and try to sync it - it shows a "Failure" message (check the ports + latency) and drop me out.
on my friend's 2005 Punto it works good, but not on my 2010 500

what can i do from here? i have an Airbag failure message that i want to reset because it went on after replacing the radio head unit to an aftermarket one (Pioneer)
thanks!

BTW - does the 500 needs a special cables for the OBD2 to work properly?

Thanks
i tried with the red cable + the yellow one and nothing..
so it means i need a special C19 cable for the airbag?

No, I meant the "ELM C19" in the table, which stands for: "ELM 327 v1.3+/OBDLink interface with ADAPTER CABLE 3 (or modified interface with CAN lines connected to pins 1 and 9 instead of 6 and 14)"

But since adapter cable 3 should be the yellow one, it seems you have another problem. Maybe it has something to do with this: http://forum.multiecuscan.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1493

So i got it sorted out at the dealership - what happened is that the knee airbag sensor was broken guess by my friend when he installed me a new aftermarket HU (it happened right after), and the reason that we couldn't connect is a burnt fuse.
well, the whole thing costed me about 75 EUR :( at least it fixed now
Thanks guys!
