hi all i went 4 a ecu test today and the code was 90 and the problem was injector cylinder 1 circuit, i had it tested by a friend who had this but dosent know wether it means a new injector a clean or some wiring any help would be great cheers.......mark

What engine/year is your car?
90? I take it you accessed the 3pin diagnostic plug in engine bay?
What type of code reader did you use,it should be supplied with a code table.Circuit could mean component(injector)or wiring or even ecu.
Chances are its the injector,but always worth trying injector cleaner (see Dave
) first as getting access to the injectors is bit awkward.
It could possibly be wiring as it can 'chaff' off injector rail at the far left side of rail but I reckon cleaner first then stripdown for possible injector(£65).

ye hi not sure which machine it was, i tryed cleaner this morning after leaving the battery of all nite to reset the limp mode which it seemed to work till i tryed to start it again after half hour t 1 hour the light came back on and the miss fire again, whos dave cheers
Dave is Dave, one of the moderators Injector cleaner is always his first suggestion for these problems as it's a simple solution that's sometimes neglected. You need to keep adding it for about 300 miles for it to work.

They are not crap...there are millions of Fiats out there so of course some will have problems just like any other car maker.
this is the first car ive ever had that will shut its sel;f down 4 the slightist problem never had a car with a ecu dont get me rong they look mint but with the amount of problems ive seen on here all nearly relating to the same thing near enough it makes u think mines a p 97 66000 miles the speedo dosent work the horn dosent it blows fuses the rear wiper dosent now this ive only had it 2 weeks and from the land of ferrari hmmmmmmmmmm
speedo needs vss,rear wiper I admit are crap,what fuses blow?

vehicle speed sensor
Sensor mounted on top of gearbox at the rear,sends speed info to ECU & speedo unless you have ABS where speed is sourced from the ABS sensors.
cheers m8t i was thinking maybe it being a fuse as the rev counter works and the milage goes up is this another ecu meter reading then as i think my m8t says there were 3 points t plug into airbag, abs and the 1 at the back of the engine bay which we used
right lets start again....the mileage goes up but speedo doesn't,in that case it sounds like a cluster fault.Have you got a workshop manual for the car?
