Finally sorted out all the wiring for my car at last, got my nokia 610 hands free kit re-wired, got in my dvd player and my screen and a 4 way 12v socket in there. But

Where the dvd is located are a load of power cables running behind, when i run a film there is interence. coincidence or should i reroute my power cables?

:) Bravo my son Bravo!! :)

sorry, on the screen, the picture is wavy as if a mobile is near it,

:) Bravo my son Bravo!! :)

Where is the player, where is the screen, what cable are you using?

screen is mounter passenger area above glove box, DVD player is under rear seats coming out into footwell (cd changer place) standard RCA cables that came with Player and screen,

behind DVD player is the wiring loom for the rear electrics on car, 1 gauage for amp power cables for car kit,

yeah, remains there perm, switched ICE off also and still remains

Most likely **** cable. Composite video is several MHz and DOES need the correct impedance cable.

I assume the DVD player is 12v and not being run from an inverter.

yeah tom 12v, it is running from the same power cable as my amp and hands free car kit, do you suggest better rcas? or should i try my ground loop isolators from my amp?

:) Bravo my son Bravo!! :)

No, a proper video cable. Audio RCAs are not designed for video.

A ground isolator won't help.

i though as they came with the dvd player they would have been suitable?

ill go shopping again tomorrow cheers tom fella

:) Bravo my son Bravo!! :)

I had the same problem using the original cable that came with my screen (very thin), got a better one from maplins and it went away...

Still get slight interference when my mobile rings, but i think thats normal.
