this might seem a strange question but i am going to ask it anyway.

i still have the factory fit recirculation dump valve fitted to 20v Turbo, how do you know if this is still working or not. :confused:

the turbo would have more lag and eventually be destroyed if not.
If its anything like my mr2 was, its just a rubber hose that re-circulates back into the inlet from the air filter. Could always remove and check for obstructions, or place you hand over whilst revving the engine and releasing the accelorator quickly to feel the air from the turbo thru the pipe

Usually the standard dump valve starts making a "mooing" noise when it's not working properly.
You will also get more turbo lag.

The question was manly out of curiosity than thinking the Dump Valve had broken, the only experience I have had with Dump Valves is the ones that vent to atmosphere as apposed to the one I have on the coupe. As there is no noise form it when it works I was curious as to what signs it would give when it was not working.
