Hello everybody

I hope you all have better day than me.

I'm in the middle of dispute with a trader who sold me a 2.3 ducato from 2014 which appears to be clocked by a significant number of miles.

I suspect that the engine has been swapped due to its state which is rather poor in comparison to other components under the bonnet.

I just got my V5 that contains 7 digit engine number but I really can't figure where would that be on the actual engine. I have found a number which is stamped on the bottom left corner of the front of the engine block but this is 9 digit number

Sorry but to new to be able to post an URL with the picture

any help would be much appreciated

I guess euro 5 which I have and euro 6 are pretty much the same engines.

Looks like some stripping is required to actually see the number

yes I've seen this bit. Just got an inspection mirror from local supplier. About to give it a go

Ok I've found it, I would post a short video but still not able to put URL's in.

Mine was covered with a sticker of some sorts. I guess an attempt to prevent the number from corroding away.

I wasn't lucky as the number I was after had a single digit that I could guess. Too corroded.
