Technical Ducato timing belt replacement

Hi there,
Need to exchange the timing belt of my 1992 2.5D Ducato.
No matter how hard we try; the bolt from the crankshaft pulley will not loosen.
Wonder if we are trying to turn it in the richt direction.
CCW = loosen ?????

Have you tried jamming a lever in the flywheel to stop the eng turning ,the bolt will be in with lock tight prob it unscrews the normal way not left handed thread
