Ducato smoke problem,

Hi guys hope you can help me out, ive got a Fiat Ducato 1.9 Diesel 2000 model in the mornings when shes cold she smokes like billio for a good 5 to ten minutes grey white smoke until she is warm any ideas please guys,

White/grey smoke indicates unburnt diesel I think so it could be a glow plug problem.

If one plug isn't working the diesel in that cylinder wont burn untill the engine warms up.

Is it difficult to start sometimes?

It does smell of heavy unburnt diesel but its always easy to start!!!

Thank you for your reply i will get a new set of glow plugs i recon any ideas what glow plugs i will need please its a 1.9Td 2000 Fiat ducato, cheers,

Hi Guys ive still got a smoky problem, with my fiat Ducato 2lt td 2000, mot due, do these engines run well on veg oil does anyone know please???
