Hi to All I'm Nick and new to this forum. i have to replace the water pump on this vehicle and i have been told by the French (broke down out their) that the engine will have to come out. this i don't believe so i am looking for help for the correct method of doing this. thanks a million. Nick

nick , where are you broken down and is it a fiat agent who has told you that the engine must come out ?
is the water pump the only problem?

we were brocken down near Perpignan and it was a hgv garage that told us that. however since the bill would have been more than £1000 and the time to fix the problem greater than 8 hours i ellected that the AA bring everything home. and they did no quibble. the van taking one week longer. the pulley has come of the water pump but cannot be removed because it is trapped on the shaft due to the close proximity of the wing. for all anyone knows it could only be missing bolts. it is so tight that you cannot see. there are no other problems. nick
