Assuming it is the Sofim 8140. Series then one of the last 2.8iTD rated at around 122Hp before ECU and JTD Common Rail etc. Should fit straight onto gearbox with minimal changes.
Many manufacturers used that engine as well as Fiat, Citroen, Renault, Peugeot in FWD form. Check Wikipedia.
Don't use Iveco Daily as RWD so bottom half of engine is different although appears similar, also Renault Mascot I believe is RWD.
You will have to sort out intercooler and hoses etc.
Assuming Bosch injector pump , this and the turbo can be adjusted to give even more power.;)

Spot on, not only will the non electronic 2.8 fit, there is a high probability that, on the later the 2.5 ducato, the mounting points for all the ancillaries are already there. But, from memory, there is some wiring to shift.
If you can get the whole van, or like the van breakers did for us, the whole front end, the better, not just for the reference points, but also wiring, alternator, starter, wiring, turbo etc etc
