Hello everyone.

I have a Fiat Ducato 2800 JTD (from 2004, so x244) and the immobiliser light has appeared. Searching on this forum, I've come across some posts where some users mention bypassing the inyector pump to disable the immo.

The question: Can I do the bypass on my motorhome? Also for the ones knowing this specific model, where is located the inertia switch?

Thanks

Thank you very much. Sorry to bother you with one more question, do you know if it is possible to disable the immo in the ECU?

I have read that ambulances have this done. It would need the services of a compete
nt electronic locksmith. I would like to find one local to me.

Was your vehicle supplied or converted outside UK? If yes then you should have a key code card. This will give you a code to use for emergency starting. Details in vehicle handbook.

To help others in a similar situation please you resolution or progress on the forum

Yes, I have the key code card. The emergency start, as mentioned in the handbook, can only be performed on the gasoline version of the vehicle. I, unfortunately, have the diesel version.
“DIESEL VERSIONS
It is not possible to carry out an emergency start on diesel versions; contact the Fiat dealer immediately.”

I will try to reset the inertia switch once the motorhome arrives, and I'll update this thread with my findings. Thank you very much.

It is my understanding that the code can also be used on a diesel engine. Please try it.

The inerta switch only cuts the supply to the fuel lift pump in the fuel tank. If you can hear the pump running for upto about 20 seconds after turning the key, then inertia switch is OK.

We have the same issue, you can't hear any fuel pump running, I might bypass the inertia switch tomorrow to see if that is faulty ?
Ambulances do not have Immobilisers fitted.
We tried the emergency start process and it did not work at all
