Technical Ducato 2016 engine swap

Hi

I'm wondering if someone can help?

I've bought a van knowing the engine needs to be swapped and I want to know what the difference is between the F1ae and F1ag engines?
I know the emissions euro 5 and euro 6 but are the blocks the same?

The reason I'm asking is because they is such a huge difference in price.

There is a huge difference in the emmissions equipment used. the later having a twin egr system. You cannot just drop a euro 6 engine in an older vehicle and have it re validated to higher spec.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

With regards to the emissions I'm not particularly bothered because I'm getting a EGR delete but I can't see the difference in the engine head and block?
The engine I removed was a euro 6 with a EGR cooler under the turbo and that pipe connects to the block but other than that I can't see anything different.
