Technical Ducato 2.3 regeneration

Have just replaced the dpf and the engine has gone in to it's first regen.
Quick question how much smoke is normal on regen please.
The amount my van produces is embarrassing.

Is this the first forced regen as created by the installation . Ive read that it can be quite violent and hot with possibility of burning grass if parked on grass, lot of smoke not a surprise..

That would explain it.
All seems to of settled down now.
Just the glow plugs to sort now

What year did they start fitting DPF guyz.

Anecdotaly i have read about people having dpf egr etc when they didnt expect it and visa versa. There was a period when it may have been an option or market dependent. Of course with MH taking so long to get to market then sold theres another variable. So no definite answer other than all euro 5,6 will have them.
