Hello
Ive recently bought a vintage (nicer word than old don't you think) 2.5 Diesel Fiat Ducato Hymer.

Really nice van.

Upon buying I thought the best think in order was a full service which I had done.

Prior to going for service cab heating worked fine.

After service cab heating blows but doesn't get hot. Also when I picked it up the carpet was wet.

I cant determine whether its water or coolant - it just seems to leak from behind the rubber matting - centrally though not in passenger or driver area as such.

I really don't want it to be the heater matrix - I've read about it and it seems a huge job but my research is taking me there.

My questions to the more experienced people than me are :

1) When being serviced could something have been caught to cause this as it worked perfectly and was leak free before

2) Is this likely to be coolant? I cant really decide whether its just water - I'm not sure which thing under the bonnet is the coolant I should be checking to see if its going down.

3) Will this eventually effect the cooling system of the van itself and could it over heat

4) is it worth putting in Radweld or equivalent ?

5) Could it be something other than heater matrix ?

As mentioned its frustrating that it worked fine and was leak free prior to service but is now an issue and I have a one night trip to the seaside next week and I'm not sure I should go which would disappoint a 12 year old but I concerned albeit its only an hour away.

Any comments appreciated.

Thanks
Jo
