I've just started to notice that every time I change gears (up or down), the Dualogic makes what I can only describe as a short, sharp, faint whistle.

Only noticed it because it was a quiet night, I had my driver's window down and no music in the background.

NB: I know its normal for it to make a "mechanical" sound during gear changes, but this "whistle" is in addition to this.

Is this normal, or is something starting to fail?

Actually it sounds more like a tiny mouse squeak than a whistle, and really hard to hear unless you pay attention as you change gears on a quiet street.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Yep, got 6 months left in the 3rd year.

Honestly I think I'll have difficulties in pointing out the noise to the dealer - they probably would think I'm imagining things..

Ultimately it might be normal for it to make that noise and its only now that I've picked it up, but just want to check with others here and see if that's the case?

T?
