General Drove a TA today

My neighbour's wife commented that it wasn't a "real car". I just thought to myself "neither is your husband's nasty Hyundai Santa Fe".

Why didn't you say that out loud? The Hyundai Santa Fe must be one of the ugliest cars on the market = ))

Drove another one today, this time a demo from the local stealer, wife really quite likes it. Was a 500s that we drove, being a demo I didn't feel quite so bad about giving it some extra revs. S&S worked faultlessly btw :ROFLMAO:

There could potentially be another 500 joining the fold in the future, or a new Panda 4x4. But will probably be a way off!

Could this mean the TA is beginning to win you over? :D

Never said I didn't like it, it would be a Panda replacement anyway. Would be the wifes car anyway, she really quite liked it, wasn't sure about the darkness of the S's interior though.

I think some people seem to have missed the point of my thread and have had the usual twinair love in.

Don't get me wrong, I like the engine, it does have a good dollop of character and was nice to drive, hell, if I were getting another 500 I'm 80% sure I'd get the twinair, but to me it didn't match up to hype that seems to surrounds it on here?

Like I said it kind of felt fast, but the pace didn't really match up to how fast it felt like it was going. Now obviously if you've never driven a quick car, the artificial feeling of pace will be impressive (and it does feel fast!), but it just didn't win me over like it has with others on here. I really really really wanted to love it like people on here do, instead I just really like it rather than love it.

The fact that the 1.2 is quite a bit cheaper and more economical means it's not quite as clear cut in favour of the TA for me.

Maxi I don't think you can sum it up any better than you have done. Fully understand your reasoning. I have driven fast cars 2.0 litre plus and they were fast verging on the scary

I have owned and a TA and it was really good relative size and speed, but it did not compare to the 'big boys' and certainly not scary. But I liked it for what it was.
