You can access the DRL from inside the wheel arch WITHOUT removing the wheel arch liner.

true, although not if you need to remove the DRL to pull out a bulb that's broken and fallen inside as shown with arrow on my photo

One thing I would say from somebody else's experience on another forum - beware of cheap Chinese LED replacements from Ebay / Amazon for the standard lights; sometimes they're not very well made and the LEDs are wired in parallel with no in-circuit protection.
In this unfortunate person's case, he had one of those iffily-made LED setups, the LED shorted which caused a direct connection from +12v to ground and it damaged his alarm (but luckily didn't fry his loom). £600 + labor replacement cost for the alarm, which made the cheap LED lights very poor value for money indeed...
