Punto (Mk2/2b) Driver side window fault

My driver side window gets stuck when going back up in 3 stages. Have to hold on with switch & pull with hand to get it to go back up. Window will go down with no problems.

Can anyone help

when the window goes up , does it pop out of the rubber ?

No it does not pop out of the rubber. Just gets stuck in 3 stages & makes a horrible noise.

I would guess contamination/failure of the mechanism, or stuff wedged into its guides. Are there long vertical marks on the window?

No long vertical marks at all.

ask this in the Punto 2/ b section,
I think it's motor drive fault,
but they may well have come a cross it before,

Puntoa arent known for there window faults
There pretty fahltless tbh....

My advice is pop the door card off and watch the mechanism
Make sure it pushs straight
Clean and regrease ths tracks is always a good idea as well
