Hopefully someone can help. Have a fiat doblo 1.9 jtd 2004 model and have had a problem with it drinking 5 litres of oil in 2 weeks. Have had the turbo completely rebuilt, new crank/rpm sensor , cleaned the egr valve and still loosing oil. The car is blowing blue smoke so I'm guessing the oil is burning off but where I don't know. The engine fans don't work unless you disconnect them from the sensor and have them constantly on. The engine was cutting out but changing the rpm sensor stopped that. We have tried everything and it's still drinking the oil can someone please help any input will be good.

Hi
Mileage is about 188k
No history it is an ex taxi. Had it about 18 months at most. Its my dads and he doesn't do high mileage in it.
What do you mean by blocked breather?

What do you mean by blocked breather?

the natural sucking and blowing of the engine innards create pressures,

to stop seals having a really hard time you need a vent/ valve ( breather)

if the vent is blocked the oil is pressurised out of the engine.

Hi would this be the breather pipe on the filter or another need to know what I'm looking for. When the turbo was rebuilt all pipes going to it and from it were cleaned out to remove oil and grit.

Another problem occurred today the engine just seems to loose power for a few mins even with your foot down and then jumps back into life. Some others have said about faulty egr valve in other posts but have cleaned it out 3 weeks ago and was fine until today.
Also does anyone know why the engine fans won't work unless they are unplugged from the sensor.

What is MES ? I checked the ecu but nothing came up but am waiting for some more plugs to come as only had the standard fiat one and hopefully they may show something. But have never heard of MES can someone please explain.

Cheers for that that's the software I've been using but am going to check again.
Does anyone know where I can get a manual for this car either free or cheap don't mnd a downloadable one. Something equivalent to a Haynes manual would be great as I want to know where all the sensors are.

Cheers for all your help just managed to get a donor Doblo so am hoping to swap engines over. Any hints or advice would be greatful the last engine I changed was a mini so a bit different. Also does anyone know how to change the instrument panel to a newer version my dad prefers it to his and will need the stalks changed as the trip computer is on them.
