A drink driver kills someone, they get a ban and maybe a jail sentence?
You know that the ban starts from the moment of conviction? So if they get a 5 year ban and 4 year sentence and they serve the full 4 years ( hard to belive happening I know.) they then only have a 1 year ban to wait out.
The purpose of this petition is to try change the law so that driving bans don't begin until the offender is released from prison.
