General Draining the coolant system - Any pointers?

Hi all,
I am going to drain the coolant system on my '94 Cinq because the radiator needs some radweld in it and there is come air in the pipes, etc. So just wondering if anyone cold give me a few pointers on how to do it, etc?

If you want to do it the easiest way, pop the bumper off first.

Carefully remove the bottom rad hose over a large bucket. Water will go both ways so I use a plastic 5 gallon drum with the side cut out.

I really wouldn't want to be putting radweld in as a permanent fix. Rads are now cheap enough, particularly if you speak to Fluffy, and if you join the club they are even cheaper.

As said, rads are cheap enough now so go new.. Also you don't have to remove the bumper but it makes access easier - i have never taken it off to do mine though

Other thing is, if you don't remove the bumper, you get anti freeze all over the floor -- no big deal if you don't have to lie in it, although I hear cats love it (it's sweet, like saccharine) and it's poisonous.

cats do like it yes. I'll admit i usually let it go all over the drive, and then rinse away, heavily diluted its not harmful to cats.
