Hello all,
I'm new to the forum so want to say hi to everyone. Proud owner of a blue 96 Punto 90 ELX.
I was hoping someone might be able to give some advice on a problem I have. The driver's side door seal (the one on the body that extends up past the side of the windscreen along the top of the front and rear door openings and down to the rear light unit) was coming loose over the driver's door and had lots of dirt collecting so I cleaned as best as I could and silicone sealed it. It doesn't look great though and the driver's door now does not sit flush with the rear door. I think this is because the seal is pushing the door out lightly. I have tried to show the area that isn't flush in the photo (not my car).
As a result in this cold weather, I'm getting build up of condensation in the car (along the metal on the inside of the door frame, just above the window and on the right hand side of the windscreen). So it looks unsightly with the door not closing flush at the top and functionally the car is letting in moisture.
I have tried to search Ebay and the internet for a new seal but can't seem to source one. I wouldn't know how to fit it anyways. I'm wondering if anyone can help either in finding a new seal or how I could use maybe some proper rubber sealant (?) to do a proper job on the seal so that the door shuts properly and doesn't let in moisture.
Cheers
