Technical door handels

ok, im trying to remove my door handels on a punto mk1, i have undone the 2 bolts securing it primarily in place, but it is attatch to a rod which i assume is the rod which activates the door opening, any ideas on how to remove this rod?

the rods come out of one end (a little black, usually, connector clips onto the end of the rod), once that is swung out the way, the rod will pull up, then you can remove them all.

You will probably need to take the door card off and peel back the plastic sheet to get access to the inside.
