Does anybody know if it is possible to replace the door check straps on the 319 with those from the 169?

It's a small thing but the 319 not having staged door opening does annoy me, especially as I also regularly use an older less valuable 169 which does i.e. it feels a retrograde step on the 319 in the name of cost saving.

Just had a look at ePER -- the parts are very different, but the ePER drawings are not! But, using teh Google search built into the Forum copy of ePER, I've found these photos to show the difference.

Here's the new one - and note the strap is plastic (part 51938511)

And here's the one from the older model. (Part 51779914) The metal U-shaped bit is the spring that pushes the strap dents into the roller to give the two stage opening. In both cases the small screw 'eye' is what fits to the bodywork (so the photos are mirrored)

Thank you. I did look at the pictures and was still wondering as the bits that actually bolt into place don't look vastly differently located despite the rest of the mechanism being so different.

It’s hard to tell. There is a difference: the new type has protruding threads that a nut goes onto and the old ones a threaded hole - if that matters. More of a challenge would be to find the parts as I guess breakers sell them as part of a complete door?
