The nearside door trim on my Panda is beginning to unstick. I need to remove it completely, clean things up and re-fix. My question please is what is the best way to remove it and what adhesive (double sided tape or mastic) is best to re-secure it please?

Remove carefully; heat may help, but take care not to melt or burn the plastic.
Clean the old adhesive off both the car and the trim.
Then my preference for reattaching would be to use a proper automotive trim tape such as 3M VHB.
I don't recommend using a liquid or gel adhesive; these are messy, it's hard to position the trim accurately, and you need to find a way of keeping it in place while the adhesive sets.
Others may have better and/or different suggestions.
